This document is a research that explores: (1) the relationship between indicators of permanence in workspace features and employee satisfaction with workspaces and (2) the perceived importance of perpetuity, relative to other design features. Observation of workspaces and interviews did not reveal a relationship between permanence and satisfaction but found a positive correlation between stability and pride in workspaces (one element of satisfaction).
